Westbound lanes of I-70 reopened in Wheat Ridge after crash

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. — UPDATE: The westbound lanes of I-70 in Wheat Ridge are again open following a crash.

Westbound lanes of Interstate 70 are closed in Wheat Ridge because of a crash.

A cement mixer blew a tire on the interstate and overturned, in response to the Wheat Ridge Police Division. The driving force is OK, police mentioned.

The crash compelled a westbound closure between Ward Highway south to W. 32nd Avenue, in response to the Colorado State Patrol.

Drivers have been diverted to Freeway 58.

I-70 will stay closed via the night rush hour, in response to CDOT. It’s not clear when the interstate will reopen.

No different particulars have been out there as of 4:50 p.m. Monday.
