As The South African website previously reported in May, the coach and his agent wife, Moira Tlhagale,  announced an upcoming football school: The Pitso Mosimane Soccer Schools (PMSS).

“The Pitso Mosimane Soccer Schools (PMSS) are part of Coach Pitso’s legacy of not only creating the player of tomorrow but also ensuring that he contributes towards football in South Africa for it to go back to the level of excellence that we know it to be, and most importantly reaching new heights,” Tlhagale said in a statement.

Speaking to local media since returning to Mzansi for a break, the former Bafana Bafana coach was asked to offer the latest developments.

“We want to do government schools,” the Kagiso-born coach said.

“We have a little bit of a hint, Panyaza [Lesufi, MEC for Education] has already spoken to us.

“Private schools also are easier because why? They already have the facilities. So that’s what we are doing.

“We are also doing it with respect to the South African Football Association (SAFA) but we know it is more about the Department of Education and the Department of Sports because that’s their territory.

The two-time CAF Champions League winner concluded to assure that the programme will be for both boys and girls.
